'.. It's an event where the relationships between audience and artist are different from in the gallery or theater or cinema and are paramount in framing the work. Reflux becomes live art because of what it has to offer rather than what it is.'

David Butler in [a-n] magazine

Reflux is a series of monthly one night events dedicated to presenting new work and ideas by regional, national and international artists and curators. Reflux encourages engagement and dialogue through the presentation of cross media events held in an informal club night atmosphere. Based on a desire to investigate new ways of presenting contemporary art and related practices, the emphasis is on the experimental, the collaborative and work in progress.

Reflux events include performance, video, sound, digital and web work, installation, music, poetry, talks, cooking, and even discreet objects on floors and walls. Reflux club nights run alongside the programme of projects and exhibitions The Reflux base camp is at Re.projects space in Stroud, but Reflux is also a mobile project that can take up residence where ever it needs to be.
